American Automobile Association (AAA)
Star Auto Authority is an AAA Chicago Approved Auto Repair Facility in Vernon Hills. We have met AAA’s highest standards for automotive repairs and maintenance. In fact, 100% of our customers surveyed by AAA said we repaired their vehicles to their satisfaction. 100% of those surveyed also said they would recommend us to their friends.

Automotive Service Association (ASA)
Star Auto Authority is a member of ASA, the leading organization for owners and managers of automotive service businesses that strive to deliver excellence in service and repairs to consumers.

When your vehicle is repaired by an ASA member business, you can expect the following an attentiveness to you, the customer, and service backed by years of experience. ASA members stay up to date with evolving vehicle technology by attending technical education classes, and by belonging to ASA, members have access to more than 30 association benefits, including the latest technical and management education and regulatory information.

Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills (GLMV) Chamber of Commerce
Star Auto Authority is one of 750 members of the GLMV Chamber of Commerce, the largest and most active in Lake County. The chamber helps its member business and communities achieve their goals. The chamber also fosters a competitive business climate focused on growth, prosperity and excellent quality of life.

International Automotive Technicians Network (iATN)
Star Auto Authority is a member of iATN, a group of 48,983 professional automotive technicians from 135 countries. The professionals are part of the largest network of technicians in the world, and they exchange technical knowledge and information with other members, sharing 1.03 million years of experience. Only professional technicians who are ASE-Certified or who have a minimum of 4 years of full-time technician work experience may join.

National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)
Both Star Auto Authority facilities are designated ASE Blue Seal of Excellence facilities, a distinction reserved for less than 1 percent of automotive service facilities nationwide.

At Star Auto Authority, every journeyman technician is an ASE-Certified Master Technician with L1 Advanced Engine Performance Certification. Our Apprentice Technicians are required to earn Master Technician status as their skill sets develop, and even our Service Consultants boast ASE Certification.

ASE independently tests and certifies the skills and competency of automotive technicians, service consultants and parts professionals. While there is one test each for parts and service consultants, automotive technicians earn certification in eight knowledge areas, including:

• Automatic Transmissions/Transaxles;
• Brake Systems;
• Electrical/Electronic Systems;
• Engine Performance;
• Engine Repair;
• Heating and Air Conditioning;
• Manual Drivetrain and Axles;
• Suspension & Steering Systems.

Technicians who pass all eight exams are designated ASE-Certified Master Technicians. Technicians may also earn additional certifications, such as Medium & Heavy-Duty Truck, Exhaust Systems, and Compressed Natural Gas Vehicles.
