Learning the industry's latest at SEMA, AAPEX (10/31/07)
LAS VEGAS-Start with 1 million square feet of exhibit space. Add more than 2,000 exhibitors and 100,000 automotive service providers, performance specialists, parts manufacturers and retailers.
And you set the stage for the 2007 Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week, which offers more automotive glitz, glamour and technology than several days of dedicated show walking can see.
C&M's managers were part of the excitement Oct. 29 - Nov. 2, learning the latest automotive trends and soaking up knowledge in technology, business, marketing and customer service seminars.
After class, exhibitors at the SEMA Show and the Automotive Aftermarket Parts Expo (AAPEX) introduced attendees to the latest automotive service tools & technology, must-have accessories, attention-getting wheels, and custom hot rods.
''AAPEX gives us the opportunity to see new technology and tools that enable us to service our clients better and more efficiently,'' Asst. Service Manager Jack Shields says.
And even though we're not directly involved in the hot rod or custom wheel segment of the industry, ''it's a rare automotive person who doesn't appreciate the size and scope of the SEMA Show,'' Asst. Service Manager Jim Even says. ''It gives us a great opportunity to experience the other half of the automotive industry.''
